Curriclum Design
I began by conducting a needs analysis and outline. This allowed me to visualize the flow of the learner experiences and potential outcomes. During the needs analysis, I discovered three significant hurdles to client success. First, there was a lack of access to information on demand; second, the curriculum was not modified to reach varied learning modalities; and third, there were knowledge gaps in three specific areas. With this information, I designed an interactive e-learning course using a combination of two educational strategies, the Backward learning and Blended Learning models.
After creating an outline, I transitioned into drafting a written storyboard to outline how I wanted each section to look and feel.
Last, I designed each slide to make the course interactive using shapes, layers, animations, and transitions in PowerPoint and Camtasia. I sourced all graphics from textbooks and stock images from PowerPoint.
